IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES

Proven Methodology + Best Practices = Successful Implementation
C Innovations’ impressive track record of successfully implementing student information systems (SIS) is based on knowing how to integrate our software with the latest technology and applying proven, real-world methodologies to each new client’s unique needs.

Our implementation strategy reflects our belief in partnership. We work closely with you throughout the implementation to ensure that together we create a solution that accomplishes your goals, overcomes your challenges, and meets the student information management needs of your end users.

Our professional services team will ensure that your end users and technical staff have the skills and knowledge needed to take full advantage of the system and that Zangle is installed, configured, and customized to meet your needs.

Implementation Approach
C Innovations’ services provide a comprehensive solution with a roadmap of activities that rests on a thorough needs assessment and a strong planning process to clearly identify resources and timelines to ensure the implementation of Zangle proceeds quickly and efficiently. Our services include project management and reporting, end-user education and training, well-designed pilot plans, data conversion, and on-site “going live” support. Our complete maintenance program covers both new software releases and patches and dependable technical support. C Innovation’s implementation methodology is comprised of five phases.

Within each phase there are major areas of activity that are required to accomplish a successful student information system implementation with minimal disruption of school and district operations.  These activities include:

  • Project Management and Planning – involves organizing the project, establishing project goals and scope, developing project management procedures, developing a detailed work plan and developing technical competencies.

Our project management activities are conducted to ensure the project stays on track, meets C Innovation’s high quality standards and customer expectations, and meets the expected positive results in the day to day usage of Zangle.

  • Infrastructure Readiness – includes conducting an assessment of the district’s infrastructure, designing Zangle environments and obtaining and installing the hardware and software needed to support the Zangle system.

  • Business Process Re-engineering – involves reviewing current business processes and identifying and implementing needed changes to ensure best business practices are followed.

  • Software Configuration – includes identifying user roles, determining and implementing required permission sets and identifying and implementing the appropriate system configuration settings.

  • Application Training and Configuration Workshops – These workshops provide participants with an opportunity to learn how to use each Zangle application and participate in collaborative discussions regarding system configuration, setup and data conversion requirements. Functional processes and business practices currently in use are compared to those supported in Zangle and processes to be changed are identified.

  • Data Conversion – involves mapping current data elements to those in Zangle, developing data conversion specifications and converting legacy data and loading data.

  • Customization/On-Site Assistance – includes identifying, creating and implementing required user-defined fields, database views, dynamic groups, stored procedures, reports, interfaces to the district’s ancillary systems, data extracts, ad hoc reports, backend procedures to support business practices and application modifications.

  • Training and Support – includes identifying training needs, designing the training program, training the trainers, creating training materials and training end users.

  • Communication – includes identifying communication needs, developing a communication plan and creating and delivering communications.

  • Custom Development and Software Implementation
During the Application Training and Configuration Workshops, the district’s current and desired business practices and functional needs are compared to the best business practices and application functionality supported by Zangle. If the comparison results in the identification of gaps, recommendations are made to address the gaps through process improvement efforts or system customization. In any implementation, one of the risk mitigation strategies for increasing the probability of success is to minimize the quantity and complexity of software modifications. With the mature products embodied in our Zangle Solution, most client-specific needs are easily accommodated through customization tools provided with the Zangle system. For those requirements that cannot be satisfied through other means, C Innovation designs, develops, documents and tests high priority system modifications for the district.

Our relationship with you does not end once Zangles’ SIS solution has been deployed. In fact, we strongly believe and encourage an ongoing partnership to continue working with you throughout the life of the project and the product.  C Innovation stands by your district to assist with any expected or unexpected change management activities or issue resolutions post deployment.
